What is An Assessor?
An assessor is a person with the required knowledge and skills that determines whether the candidate is capable of doing the job at hand in their own particular field of expertise by collecting evidence, assessor assess people and not things
How is evidence collected?
The assessor makes use of different tools and systems to determine if the Learner is competent or not yet competent
Do Assessors need to be registered?
Yes Assessors have great responsibility and thus they need to be registered before they are allowed to assess Simunye Assessor Training’ generic assessor training course will equip learners with the required knowledge and skills to assess candidates in their own particular field of expertise.
The assessor training course will help build your understanding of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and will assist you to take the first step in developing your skills and acquiring a variety of qualifications within the Education Training & Development Practises and human Resource development

The responsibility of the assessor is great and thus need to meet high standard of criteria and must be registered with their relevant Seta before they can be allowed to assess
Who should attend this course?
Learners should have a good command of the English language
This course includes theory and practical, Learner to complete a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE), all administration, formative assessments are completed in class and they 4 weeks to complete their summative assessments which include practical’s, when portfolios are retuned they will be assessed and then moderated, learners will then receive accreditation from ETDP Seta
